Michael "Max" Hillier

Hi and Welcome to your home away from home,

I have been the Property Manager at the Grandview since September of 2006 and absolutely love this place.  I started traveling at an early age and quickly fell in love with the Caribbean and just had to find a way to live here.  So whilst I was working on cruise ships, as a waiter, I completed my scuba diving instructor certification in the hopes that I may get a placement in the Caribbean.  Well I did in October of 1993 and moved to the island of Cayman Brac - one of the Sister Islands of Grand Cayman.  From 93 to 99 I dived every corner of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman and had an amazing experience because during this time I also spent a year in Honduras working on a live aboard dive boat, in Palau Micronesia doing the same thing and Hurghada Egypt where I was assisting with dive boat design and business launch for a live aboard vessel.

In 99 I trekked the Himalayas and saw Everest - WOW!!! and then worked in a pub in Brighton England assisting a friend of mine with operations and day to day management.  I retuned to Cayman Brac in 2000 as the Dive Operations MAnager and a year and a half later I took over the General Manager position at the resort.  I loved this position and successfully lead this property and 45 staff until September of 2006.  During this period I set on the Executive Committee of the Sister Islands Tourism Association (SITA), and then as President for 2 years.

I chose to leave the Brac to expand my horizons and be closer to my Mom who was living here at the time.  I really enjoy the daily challenges at the Grandview, working with owners and tenants and of course those who choose to spend their hard earned dollars to vacation with us here in paradise.

I love the Cayman Islands tourism product and am actively involved in the Cayman Islands Tourism Association where I recently served as Vice President.

I live on site with my 2 dogs - Sharka and Jasdip - and my cat Roxy.

I love working with Kenesha and Nohemi and am proud of what we have accomplished here in just 2 1/2 short years to improve not only the visitor experience but our owner and tenant experience.

Kenesha Hurlston-Anderson

Please allow me to introduce me.  I am the Assistant Manager of Grandview and I am responsible for the office management, reservations, guests services and so much more.

I have been involved in the Tourism Industry here on Grand Cayman since the age of 13 when I joined one of Cayman’s premier bus/transport companies and eventually grew to
run this business by the age of 17.

Throughout the years, I have been employed by various hotels and other properties on the  Island. I have also gained experience in the local real estate field. In 2004, I took a brief hiatus from the tourism industry and went into real estate, working for the top real estate company on the Island as a Personal Assistant to the owner. In my time there I learned a wealth of knowledge about real estate and I  continue to use this information even today.

However, it wouldn’t be long before I realized my true calling was with the tourism industry and I rejoined the industry and joined Grandview in 2006 and have been happy from day one.   Amongst other things, I book Island tours, sunset sails,  arrange those special dinners and, most importantly, enjoy my repeat guests coming back to visit each year.  My love for this industry runs deep, both my parents have been very influential in this, with my father being an tourism ambassador for the islands and my mother’s great people skills, these have led me to my passion in this industry. I love to interact and meet people and to ensure that the stay here on Grand Cayman and with me at the Grandview is one that is special and fulfilling.

I am Caymanian and reside in the district of West Bay with my family.  I am a proud mother of two boys, Nathaniel and Aidan, and wife to Ryan.  I enjoy nothing more than spending time with my children, watching them grow and learn and their personalities develop.

Nohemi Powell

Hi there, I would like take this time to introduce myself. I am Nohemi Powell affectionately known by my close friends and family as 'Favy'. 

Life to me means friends and family who you can depend on when needed the most. I enjoy a good laugh and really value life to the fullest.  I am the Office Assistant here at the Grandview Condominium Resort. I also perform various accountingbeach duties, which I really enjoy.

At the Grandview, we are a team and everyone has to work and communicate together, and that's just what we do to make it a preferred resort in the Cayman Islands. I am the voice on the other end of the line when you call to make your reservation, and the smiling face to welcome you when you arrive to start your vacation off right. 

I was born in Honduras and moved to Grand Cayman in 1994. I graduated from the John Gray High School in 2004. I later enrolled in the University College of the Cayman Islands where I completed my Associate of Arts in Accounting in 2008 with honors.
When I am not doing schoolwork, I love traveling and spending time with my Shih-Tzu, Leo.

Without your help and positive feedback in sending us your friends and families our company would not flourish.   I believe that to be good at what you do, you must have a passion to succeed. Being new to the tourism industry, I enjoy working here because I get the opportunity to deal with different personalities, cultures, and backgrounds.  Throughout the years I have also gained a lot of hands-on experience in fulfilling and exceeding the expectations of our guests.
